Constance Humphries
Constance Humphries is a maker who works with daily practice, dance, performance art, drawing, costume, set and sound to create experiences which have taken the form of residencies/workshops and solo/collaborative performances in staged, site-specific and video spaces in multiple countries. Her 35-year making, performing and teaching practice is informed by her training in dance theatre, improvisation, butoh and Noguchi Taiso; as well as an education in performance art, drawing, and philosophy. Constance is passionate about working with space/place to facilitate cultural and multi-species exchange. Movers and audiences are invited to engage their attention, curiosity and imagination to interact with a felt experience of themselves in connection with place and each/all others.
